    • Get Fit with Mel B

With the most anticipated Move controller, comes the most looking forward game + exercise.

Deep Silver, announced that they are going to be publishing the game in North America. The game is geared towards the PlayStation only due to its compatibility with the technology of the PlayStation Move and promises to get your buns in shape for the summer.

So how’s this work you ask? Well based on your goals and preferences, Mel B will design a fitness program designed just for you, giving you maximum results in the areas your mostly interested in. Mel B will guide you through over 100 exercises, Aerobics, Fitness, and Cardio. Oh and just when you think your done, Mel B is going to get you eating healthy. That’s right she combines the workout with a nutritious meal to help you achieve your goals. This seems like a pretty cool idea to get on top of things, save money by not going to the gym, get a personal trainer that helps you work out and eat healthy? Seems like a win to me. Seems like Rob Dyer, Senior Vice President of Publisher Relations at Sony Computer Entertainment of America is pretty excited about this himself.
Well this game might give me the reason to stop going to gym and perform workout at my comfort of my home. However I still needed to finish up my contract with Fitness First which is due this coming January 2011. Anyway enough of babbling, below is the trailer for the game.
    • Year of the Dead

Yes you heard it right, I shall declare this year to be the “Year of Zombies”

Reason given there are so many many and I must say, many Zombie stuff going on the mainstream entertainment of today. Before venturing further let me give you a quick run down on some facts about zombie.

It is typically a reanimated corpse, or a human being who is being controlled by someone else by use of magic.
      – It feeds on living things
      – It usually be in groups & uncoordinated.
      – Zombies are slow. The fastest one can speed-stumble, but they generally can’t move as fast as a human jogger.

      – Zombies react to sound.
      – Zombies can use basic tools (rocks, knives).
      – Zombies hate fire.
      – Being bitten from a zombie causes eventual death.
      – Zombies can be killed by a bullet or sharp blow to the head. “Kill the brain, and you kill the ghoul”.

And there you have it, the interesting facts of the zombie. Anyway, here are a few listed games, anime, movies that has persistent into the lately booming trend.

In the terms of gaming scene:-
Resident Evil 5 Gold Edition earlier this year

      Dead Rising 2

World of Warcraft: Cataclysm (A quest which includes Plant vs Zombie Spoof)

Call of Duty black ops (Developer, Treyarch never fails to add this since its previous game Call of Duty: World at War)

Left 4 Dead 2 DLC (The Passing)

Dead Space 2 Multiplayer Beta (Space Zombies!)

      Yakuza the end

Red Dead Redemption: DLC undead nightmare

      Movies

      The Crazies

      Silent Hill Movie sequel announced

      Zombrex Dead Rising Sun

      Resident Evil: afterlife

The Mummy 4: Rise of the Aztec

      Anime

      Zombie Jerky

      Zombie Blood
    • Resident Evil: Afterlife 3D

So after some stress day for failing to get the JPN flight, I went solo to watch Resident Evil: After Life in 3D.

Yes, you can call me slowpoke but I did infact bought the tickets for RM16 at MBO, a quite new cinema complex which took me a 5 mins drive from home.
I can’t complain due to the cinema was like uhmm…. let’s see, 3 other person inside of it. Yup only 4 people watch that show. So i felt like it was my personal space, while conquering the center back with the best view you can get.
Okay, as for the storyline its very B rated which might hit C grade movie flick but barely survive due to the 3D and tried so hard to be an A rank movie but failed in someways.
I went into the screening with an expectation only to see the 3D technology, and I found that its much more better than bringing in a high expectation on the movie itself because in the end of the day it will not be enjoyable. So I’m going to emphasize more on the 3D aspect.
From this perspective, in 3D mode the movie scene is more sharper and crisp comparing to regular 2D screening I’ve watched. It feels more towards HD 3D. Further more there are many many scenes which are solely catered towards 3D e.g. the meadows, the time stopping, rain, some battle fights & and a few more details.
Personally anyone watching 2D, will be totally disappointed by such cinematic display on certain scene which only can be done justice on 3D.
But as for the 3D, I don’t see much of significant effects on certain scene which supposed to be for 3D. But the best of the best scene is when battling it out with executioner. That scene really does shine out and show the true potential of 3D effect. The rest tried but was under par.
As for the story mode. I must say it is very spoofy, since this year feels like the year of the zombie. The producer might have some sense of humor which adds a little sprinkle of Left 4 Dead + Prison Break + Cold Fear + RE5 spoof fest. If you guys play tons of survival horror games, I’m sure you guys can spot it out.
The irony of Chris dressing up in a prisoner suit is also the actor from prison break and more to add to the spoof, they are stuck in a PRISON. Supporting actors which resembles Left 4 Dead and not to forget the ship scenes which reminds me of Cold Fear.
Oh and definitely there will be a sequel and for my prediction and you will hear it first only on subimpact.net, Sheva will be a male (photo related) on the next Resident Evil Franchise Movie 😀
Till then… may the year of the zombie be fruitful 😀 next time Resident Evil : In the End (Yakuza Spoof)
Summary: Recommended to watch in 3D so go watch it in cinema, unless you got 3DHD at home so i suggest you to rent it in 3D format… Overall I’ll give 6/10
    • JAPAN RM99 = EMO sub

Around 11am today Air Asia had open a promotion to Japan for RM99. However, supposed to book with Kaivan, and due to his fickle thinking and I can still quote “I cannot think anymore…” – Kaivan. Well I can’t blame him, because it was first time booking air flights..

Due to that all fiasco the RM99 booking is now gone. Right now, just hoping for Air Asia to open a few seats of RM99 again. Oh well, time to sit at the corner and QQ. Today I can say FML

    • Devil – M. Night Shyamalan

Just back from Devil screening, and as a summary its more towards Christianity moral type of story. There is a twist at the end, but i never kinda like it. I feel Mr. Night has serving us B movies since lady in the water.
Sadly the story is about 5 person stuck in an elevator, luckily we don’t need to bare the whole 1hour and 45 mins to watch them in the elevator. There are some moment in some scene which will make you feel the intensity and i really do highlight, SOME not many. My expectation of this movie would be gory but fails to see as it is due to a mild gore scenes throughout the movie.
There are other scene which inter-connects to what is happening. The movie ends by giving out the moral of the story in Christianity faith. I DO RECOMMEND Christians to watch this movie so that you can review your faith in your religion again.
overall its a good movie but just watch it at home better. 7/10

    • I like to move it move it..

Hmm… since the launch of PS3 MOVE. It has gotten me poisoned, and pretty much tempted to get it. But sadly like always, gotta love Klang (*sarcasm*) It’s not to be found anywhere.

So I might probably get it from play-asia which is around RM170 for the dildo like stick or worst case scenario, I’ll probably need to head out of Klang to hunt for it.
Another sad part, it doesn’t come with a bundle of the MOVE stick + Move Game. Below are the only few bundles that are available together with some information.

What Move Setup is Right for You?

      I don’t yet have a PS3
      • Your best option: *PlayStation 3 Sports Champion Move Bundle
      • How much it will cost? $399.99
      PS3 Move Bundle
      I have a PS3 and nothing else
      • Your best option: **PlayStation Move Bundle
      • How much it will cost? $99.99
      Move Bundle
I have a PS3 and PlayStation Eye camera
      • Your best option: Move Motion Controller
      • How much it will cost? $49.99
      Move Controller
*The PlayStation 3 Sports Champion Move Bundle comes with: a PS3 system, 1 PlayStation Move motion controller, a PlayStation Eye Camera, the Sports Champions Blu-ray game and a PlayStation Move game demo disc.

** The PlayStation Move Bundle comes with: 1 PlayStation Move motion controller, a PlayStation Eye camera, the Sports Champions Blu-ray disc game and a PlayStation Move demo disc.

For those of you who own a PS3 already, the PlayStation Move Bundle is the complete Move package, offering everything that you, your friends and your family need to enjoy PlayStation Move in both single-player and multiplayer modes. The PlayStation Move platform is designed to be flexible. We’ve done our best to give you plenty of options, both in terms of gameplay and hardware, so you can customize your PlayStation Move experience to fit the way you game.
For the vast majority of PlayStation Move games, you can play with one motion controller when playing solo. There are some titles that give you the option to play single-player with one *or* two motion controllers if you would like, such as Sports Champions. It’s completely up to you. One title launching this fall that is an exception worth noting is The Fight: Lights Out, which requires two motion controllers to deliver the best possible experience, tracking both arms and your head with one-to-one precision.
In many games, when you’re playing against friends or family, you can all share one motion controller – in a game like Start the Party!, for example, players can just pass the motion controller around. You will need more than one motion controller only for simultaneous game play — for example, if you’re going head-to-head with a friend in a Sports Champions gladiator duel, you will each need your own motion controller.
      PlayStation Move
The PlayStation Move Navigation Controller is an optional add-on that brings directional buttons, an analog stick, and two face buttons into the PlayStation Move’s control scheme. The sleek Navigation Controller essentially replicates the left side of the DualShock 3 controller for familiar and natural control. At $29.99, we think it’s a wonderful supplement to the PlayStation Move platform, especially for games like Heavy Rain, where you control a character, but it’s not required for any of the PlayStation Move games. The DualShock 3 controller that came with your PS3 will let you do everything the Navigation Controller does in all PlayStation Move titles.
It all goes back to the PlayStation philosophy that every consumer is different, and everybody benefits when you get to make your own choices. An extra motion controller or a navigation controller are additive to the PlayStation Move experience. For some of you, aiming a bow and arrow with two motion controllers in Sports Champions will be the enhanced realism you’re craving; for others, one controller will work just fine.
Bottom line is, we’ve got you all covered. We hope we’ve provided enough great options for all of you out there and can’t wait until you can get your hands on PlayStation Move come September 19th.

    • PS3 Trophy Exploit & timestamp

To quote: That’s right, geezers. You can now platinum any PS3 game instantly!

      Requirements

      – An exploited PS3 (JailBroken) on 3.41
      – PC with Hex Editor Neo (recommended)
      – The PS3 FTP Manager
      – Filezilla (PC FTP Client)

I’m warning you right now. If you plan to sync your hacked trophies with this method, you may face a risk of getting banned by Sony. It’s highly unlikely but it’s possible. So, be warned!

A brief of how this hack works:

Inside the trophy collection section on your XMB, there are games represented by thier TROPUSR.DAT(s) respectively, where you can view the % of a game, what have you unlocked, etc. TROPUSR.DAT stores all of that information. Basically to get everything unlocked on a game, you will need to edit that game’s TROPUSR.DAT.

Manually editting TROPUSR.DAT can take a while to get used to. But after learning where and which byte to change, you will be able to platinum a game in no time.

      Tutorial

Modifying the TROPUSR.DAT file of Yakuza 3 will be part of this tutorial.

      1) Launch the FTP service on PS3.

      2) Open Filezilla on PC, connect and navigate to the folder where TROPUSR.DAT is stored. For example:

      Code:
      /dev_hdd0/home/00000001/trophy/NPWR01101_00

      00000001 is my user ID.

NPWR01101_00 is the Yakuza 3 folder.

Inside the NPWR01101_00 folder, there will be a file which is called TROPUSR.DAT. Download that file to your PC.

      3) Open TROPUSR.DAT with Hex Editor Neo.

      4) Now, we need to figure out how many trophies does Yakuza 3 have:

      5) Next, we need to add a byte that we have 45 trophies generally unlocked.

      6) Now, we need to add FF and two zero bytes (meaning 100%) below the 45 byte that you have just inserted.

      7) This is the final step. Now, you just need to unlock every trophy by adding 01 00 01 10 to every trophy ID’s in the file.

To understand what I have exactly inserted, go to Tool in Hex Editor Neo -> File Comparison -> Compare Files. Put two TROPUSR.DAT (0% and 100%) in the dialogs and change the comparison method to ‘Difference algorithm’ and click Ok. Now, you will be able to see what I have edited. This will help you understand easier. Good luck!

And, oh, when you view a trophy info on XMB with the hacked TROPUSR.DAT, you will see something like ‘Earned – ‘. That’s because I didn’t add timestamps. At the moment, I don’t know how to add one… because I’m not 100% sure which bytes are responsible for that. Here’s an example of some legit trophy I’ve unlocked:

PS3 Timestamp Generator tool that allows you to generate timestamps for all of your hacked PlayStation 3 Trophies making you look more legit ever than before.

      Download: PS3 Timestamp Generator v1

Note – I haven’t tested this on a different platform yet. This was compiled with VS2010 (C#) and .NET Framework 3.5. So, please report me any bug you may have encountered.

Make sure you put correct numbers into the six text boxes, e.g.

      2009 20 02 02 49 35

Don’t put one digits, illegal numbers or non-numeric characters,
otherwise the program won’t generate for you.

Once generated, copy the hex, open your TROPUSR.DAT with a hex editor and paste the hex underneath the line where it says a trophy ID. E.g:

      0x21e0: 00 00 00 1C 00 00 00 01 00 01 10 00 00 00 00 00
0x21f0: 00 XX XX XX XX XX XX XX 00 XX XX XX XX XX XX XX

      (1c is a trophy ID)

So paste your hex into these XXs (the first timestamp). Re-save it, overwrite it over your game’s old TROPUSR.DAT via the FTP manager. Boot the game and ta-da!

(Note- each trophy ID has two separated timestamps, so I recommend using a newer hex (increased date/time) for the second timestamp.)

    • Duplicate Contacts! Exchange 2010 STD CD = BAD

Arrrgh!.. My new company exchange 2010 just came up and behold!! I get duplicated contacts.

Well what a relief anyway, after a long struggle of getting a new exchange 2010 server up. About a week of deployment, outlook connectivity with Exchange 2010 Standard from the disc provided by the Microsoft Action Pack Subscription keeps on telling me my newly deployed exchange 2010 is still in maintenance mode and contact the administrator. So I lurk around, and found there is another installer called Exchange 2010 SP 1. I gave it a whirl on a hyper-v and it worked FLAWLESSLY right after getting crap load of KB hot fixes from Microsoft.

So for summary: NEVER USE the EXCHANGE 2010 STANDARD CD which provided by Microsoft Action Pack Subscription.
