  • Essential Digital Marketing Tools

Throughout the years, there has been dozens of tools and techniques for you to use as a marketer to get out the gates running and not have to sit through all of the available options out there. That being said, some of these tools are geared more for small organizations or larger organizations, so I’ve put together my all-star list of digital marketing tools that I think can pretty much be used by any organization.

Quick start guide – Hootsuite Help Center

First tool I have on my essential digital marketing tools list is Hootsuite. So once you get past just using Facebook, Instagram, Twitter directly, and you want a social automation tool, unless you have a reason to use another one, Hootsuite is the top dog, it’s the best one out there, it’s definitely the one to start with.

When it comes to advertising, there are a number of different networks, however there’s only one that’s at the top of the pack, and that is Google. And you can use Google Ad Manager to do your search engine marketing, your display advertising and video advertising. You can easily run a very robust digital marketing advertising campaign just by using Google Ad Manager.

When it comes to email marketing, the decisions can get a little bit tougher. There are quite a few options, and they are very dependent on your goals. However, if you aren’t sure which one is best for you, you’re just starting out, and you want one that is easy to use in the beginning, but can also scale with your email marketing efforts, then HubSpot is the one to go with. It’s currently the industry leader and has been for years.

When it comes to SEO, I have a few all-star tools. Ubersuggest is the best free tool for doing keyword research, there’s no reason not to use it. If you graduate from using the free SEO tools and you want an all-in-one SEO solution, then Moz Pro is going to be your best bet. You can check back links, you can do some competitive research, you can do additional keyword research, it’s a great tool. And then if you’re using WordPress, there’s no excuse not to be using Yoast SEO. It’s a free plugin, it’s the best one out there, if you’ve got a WordPress website, install Yoast.

    GIMP Wilber
When it comes to design, I’ve chosen my tools not based on their overall functionality, but their functionality compared with their price. I’ve got two free tools here. GIMP is your Photoshop tool, you can use it for all of your image editing, some of the advanced stuff that you’d like to do. And if you just want to go in quickly, edit the saturation of a photo and maybe crop it, then Canva is the tool for that. These are two free great tools for design, and that’s why they’re on my all-star list.

When it comes to curation, you have a lot of different tools, but earlier in the course I talked about Scoop.it. You can embed it in your websites, you can organize all of your curated content. It’s definitely the one to start with if you don’t have a reason for using another one, then I would go to Scoop.it.

CJ Affiliate- A Complete Guide by DSIM

And finally, when we talk about affiliate networking, there are a few different options out there, but the one to start with is most certainly the CJ Affiliate Marketing Network.

So this is my all-star list, all of the tools I’ve mentioned is of good reputation, have stood the test of time, and will be valuable for marketers, however if you don’t want to worry about kind of going through all those tools and comparing what I’ve said about them and you just want to get the ball rolling and you want a suite of great marketing tools, here you have it, right here. This is my list of essential digital marketing tools.

  • 2 mill concurrent viewers watch new game on Twitch

Valorant hands-on: The tactics of Counter-Strike meet the hero ...

The free-to-play first-person shooter game “Valorant” broke Twitch
records, with nearly 2 million concurrent viewers watching streams
of the game. The game is currently in closed beta, as of this week,
and the only way to get into that closed beta right now is through
“drops” or by watching various streamers on Twitch with drops
enabled, connecting Riot Games account to their Twitch account. The
fact that popular streamers are hyping the game has certainly had a
major effect, as well as the fact that several professional esports
players have already jumped ship from their current games to go pro
in “Valorant.” “Valorant” isn’t just about shooting — it’s about
carefully, tactically covering your angles, and working with
teammates to make sure they’ve got your back, and vice versa. It’s
also about using each character’s unique abilities to those ends.

  • Microsoft partners Plaid to turn Excel into a Personal Finance Management app

    Plaid - Blog
Microsoft has teamed up with Plaid to let users automatically import their bank and credit card account data into a new personal finance tool called Money in Excel. Money in Excel features a Plaid integration, and the new capabilities essentially turn the spreadsheet software into a FinTech app. It allows users to securely connect their financial accounts, import the data within them, sync balances and transactions over time, and, ultimately, gain greater insights into their financial health.

The collaboration works by providing Plaid with a permissioned connection to financial accounts from the Plaid Link inside the Microsoft Money in Excel system. Once the accounts are linked up, there will be access to transaction and balance history to help show an updated and whole financial picture. There’s a Monthly Snapshot as well which will have personalized graphs and charts to help users better understand spending behaviors. Money in Excel will be initially available to Microsoft 365 subscribers in the US.

  • Fintech fast-tracks income-levelling for freelancers

Wollit exists to help flexible workers be more financially stable

Fintech Wollit, which aims to help with the financial wellbeing of freelancers, gig workers has brought forward the launch of Wollit Income Promise, its first product—which tops-up the monthly pay packets of freelancers and gig workers—by several months in the wake of the coronavirus outbreak.

The service aims to regulate the incomes of those not in full-time work. Wollit provides customers with an interest-free cash top-up whenever they earn less than their average monthly earning. A £9.99 fixed monthly fee is the only cost to customers.

So, if an individual agrees with Wollit that their average earnings are £2,000 a month, but one month they only earn £1,500, then Wollit will top up the £500. Much of the growth in the category is due to the increased adoption of apps like Google’s Hangouts Meet, Microsoft Teams and Zoom Cloud Meetings.

Zoom topped the charts worldwide in February and March, and continues to see high numbers of downloads in the U.S., U.K. and elsewhere in Europe. Zoom’s U.S. downloads somewhat higher in mid-March, but noted that the term “Zoom” wasn’t a top 100 search term in the U.S. App Store before the week of March 9.

In terms of consumer apps, Social video conferencing app Houseparty, popular among Gen Z, has been rapidly growing in Europe and elsewhere. In Italy, the week ending on March 21 saw Houseparty downloads surge at 423 times the average weekly number of downloads in Q4 2019.

  • TikTok to offer curated content, safe for commercials

    Trending Videos on TikTok
TikTok and Douyin amassed a combined 740 million downloads last year, overtaking Facebook and Messenger to become the world’s second most downloaded app behind WhatsApp. TikTok is reportedly looking at luring advertisers by launching a new feed that would include curated content from TikTok users or original videos created by professional publishers, mimicking rival Snap that has a specific channel that supports video advertisements. TikTok’s efforts may placate the concerns of brands and advertising agencies that worry their commercials could run alongside distressing or even illegal user-generated content on the platform. TikTok was also thinking about allowing users to shop directly from links embedded in brand advertising. Besides competition, another major challenge facing TikTok is the resistance shown by US lawmakers over privacy and security issues.
